Residencial In Tempo Skyscraper Building, Benidorm, Spain
|
It will be the tallest building in the city of Benidorm surpassing the Gran Hotel Bali, the highest in Spain outside Madrid and one of the highest in the world for a city of less than 100,000 inhabitants and the tallest residential structure in Spain. The property's intended height and number of floors changed over the course of design and construction, due to economic factors.
Structure
The building consists of two parallel towers separated by a gap of 20 metres and connected by a cone-shaped structure between floors 38 and 44. Thus it looks like the number 11 and the letter M in remembrance of victims killed and injured in the attacks of 11 March 2004 in Madrid. This is one of the few skyscrapers in the world which has a shape of arch and one in Europe with the Grande Arche in Paris. Sculptures of seagulls will be suspended between the two sides of the building.
