+ Species Cumulonimbus capillatus (Cb cap): Cumulonimbus clouds with very high tops that have become fibrous due to the presence of ice crystals.
- Genus Cumulus (Cu)
+ Species Cumulus congestus (WMO: Cu Con/ICAO: TCu): Towering cumulus clouds of great vertical size, usually with dark grey bases, and capable of producing showers of moderately heavy intensity.
o Pyrocumulus (No official abbreviation): Cumulus clouds associated with volcanic eruptions and large scale fires. Pyrocumulus is not recognised by the WMO as a distinct genus or species.
