The Indiana State Fair stage collapse occurred in the Indiana State Fairgrounds grandstand on August 13, 2011 at the Indiana State Fair in Indianapolis, IN. In between live performances by Sara Bareilles and Sugarland, the above stage Fly system was hit by a high-velocity wind gust, in front of a severe thunderstorm at approximately 8:50 pm EDT.
